Book discussion session with Gronthobhasha
On November 9, at the Harit Store in Patuli, South Kolkata, a delightful discussion session was held to celebrate the release of Guptodhaner Golpo (Tales of Hidden Treasures), the first book published by Granthabhasha Publications. During the heartfelt conversations, author Sougata Pal shared the background of his book and revealed several intriguing details about its creation.
The session featured Ujjayini from Harit Store, whose insightful questions, coupled with Sougata’s informative responses, enriched the discussion.
Representing Gronthabhasha Publications, Anik and Anup were present and shared some fascinating anecdotes about the publication process. Anik also read excerpts from the book for the audience.

The book contains four major stories, all centered around the theme of hidden treasures. Although primarily treasure-hunting tales, the stories delve into deep historical contexts, such as the struggle for independence, the pain of slavery, the tyranny of infamous rulers, the survival battle of two young men lost on an island in the Atlantic Ocean, an attempt to uncover a fortress in the forests of France, mysteries lurking in the ruins of an ancient royal mansion, and the story of a lost king and an aristocratic zamindar household. Additionally, the book features riddles, puzzles, and codes that, once solved, lead to the treasures.

The discussion revealed that Guptodhaner Golpo is based on real historical facts. Through its four stories, the readers embark on a journey through various historical periods. This thrilling treasure hunt, combined with its rich historical context, offers an added bonus for readers of all ages. Sougata Pal’s writing promises to captivate every reader.
