When passion meets perseverance, the result is artistry that transcends borders. At Lifeplus Magazine, we are proud to spotlight Abhishek Basak, a distinguished freelance photographer from India whose lens has captured stories across continents and hearts alike. Twice a winner in our photography contests, Abhishek has consistently stood out among the top three, proving that his vision is not only technically brilliant but also deeply human.

A Journey Rooted in Storytelling

Beyond his own practice, Abhishek has shared his knowledge generously. As a photography instructor in Kolkata and co-mentor for AH Photography Expedition, he has guided countless aspiring photographers, blending technical mastery with creative exploration. His mentorship has even extended to National Geographic photographers from Poland and teams under the Federation of Indian Photography.

Closer to home, his achievements are equally inspiring—winning honours in India more than 100 times and earning recognition from prestigious platforms like the Mahindra Group Photo Competition and the India Photography Summit 2024.

Abhishek’s list of awards reads like a chronicle of excellence. He was the first Indian to win the One Eyeland Photography Award (2024) and the MADOLEK Billy Goat Statue in Poland. His triumphs include the Siena Awards 2025, Black & White Photo Award, and finalist positions in global competitions such as HIPA and the Urban Photo Awards. Each accolade is not just a personal victory but a milestone for Indian photography on the world stage.
