An Inspiring Interview with the Gifted Artist Debalina
We connected with Debalina, a remarkable artist, through social media. Despite being a student, her artistic talent is extraordinary. Witnessing her drawing skills, we at LifePlus Magazine decided to talk to her about her art and aspirations. For our readers, here’s an excerpt from the conversation:
Question: Debalina, tell us something about yourself for our readers. What do you do and where do you live?
Debalina: I am a second-year student at the College of Art & Design in Bardhaman. Besides that, I am an artist. I live in the Bhatsala Para area of Bardhaman city in Purba Bardhaman district.
Question: Since when have you been drawing?
Debalina: I have been drawing since I was two and a half years old.
Question: How did your interest in art begin?
Debalina: My interest in art initially stemmed from my mother.
Question: Do you learn art from anyone?
Debalina: I learned art from my mentor, sculptor Prabhat Majhi Sir. Currently, I am learning from my college professors, Binayak Sir and Thakurananda Sir.
Question: At home, who encourages you the most regarding art?
Debalina: I get a lot of encouragement from my parents.
Question: What kind of art do you enjoy creating the most?
Debalina: I especially enjoy creating Western-style paintings, such as still life, antique study paintings, and portrait paintings.
Question: Who is your favorite artist?
Debalina: My favorite artists are Leonardo da Vinci and Abanindranath Tagore.
Question: Have you received any awards or recognition for your artwork?
Debalina: I received an award from Pratyabartan Literary Magazine for my artwork.
Question: What do you aspire to achieve in the future?
Debalina: I aspire to become an exemplary artist and set a world record in the future.
Question: Do you have any specific plans regarding art?
Debalina: I want to dedicate my life to art and make my art college and family proud.
Question: Do you have a message for our magazine readers?
Debalina: To all the readers of the magazine, I would say: if you love creating art, pursue it wholeheartedly and with dedication. Success will surely come your way.
