Spring – the season of King
With rhyming charm of Flora and fauna …The earth welcomes Spring
The advent of spring i.e. King of Seasons in India is marked by the whispering melody of the air, the rustling of new buds and shoots various, the grandeur of the blooming flowers and songs of coocoos. The season is welcomed with open arms and hugs by the festivals across the country. The mankind rejoices in the bounty of nature’s paraphernalia and from East to west and from North to South the Spring season is greeted with auspiciousness, fervor, enthusiasm and glory. Spring is a time of rejuvenation when energy level promptly escalates marking the transition from the cold winter to the warm summer. The Nature too wears its royal looks with colorful leaves, blooming flowers and nascent liv€es amidst pleasant weather. The freshness of the air, the joy in the atmosphere propels each one to the next higher energy orbital. Multifaceted and multicoloured Indian culture is reflected Pan India during the advent of Spring Season.
In Northern part of India, people welcome Spring season with the most popular festival of Holi, known as the festival of colors. The colour of love i.e. Gulal, happiness and peace is thrown and lovingly applied on each other. Holi of the sanctum sanatorium Mathura attracts people from all across the world. This is blended with distribution of Sweets among each other. In vibrant Punjab, the festival of Baisakhi is celebrated with all fervor. The festival marks the harvest and the start of the new farming season. Bhangra and Gidda on this special occasion reflecting the rich cultural and agricultural heritage of the Punjab. Baisakhi also marks founding of the Khalsa on this auspicious day in the year 1699. The entire Punjab along with the Farmers enjoy on the beat of Dhol and express their happiness and gratitude for a good harvest. Each region in India adds its unique flavor to the spring festivities. In Gujarat, the festival of Mewar is also a festival of attraction for one and all as It celebrates the arrival of spring and the blossoming of flowers. In north east region of the country, Rongali Bihu is celebrated, signifying the Assamese new year.
Makar Sankranti another festival of Spring season signifies the end of winter and the beginning of the harvest season. This is celebrated throughout India, marking the transition of the sun into the zodiac sign of Capricorn. It. Kite flying is the major attraction during Makar Sankranti celebration.
Puthandu is the Tamil New Year, celebrated in mid-April. It marks the start of the new crop season in Tamil Nadu. Similarly Ugadi marks the new year in several South Indian states, including Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Ugadi signifies the arrival of spring. Traditional dishes and festive decorations adorn homes. Spring season is welcomed in Maharashtra as Gudi Padwa i.e. the Maharashtrian new year. It is celebrated with decorated flags (Gudi) placed outside homes as a symbol of prosperity and growth. Special traditional dishes are served on this occasion.
The Spring season is rightly termed as the King of season as it blends traditions, culture and Spirituality of multicoloured India. The nature is in her fullest glory and in highest freshness and presents itself in most beautiful and glorious appearance. There is love and happiness in the air and everyone is in a state of bliss. Even the birds are in a state of excitement. The nature attracts everyone with its spellbound beauty and inspires everyone and especially triggers a new life in the poets and the writers. Spring is truly a confluence of Spirituality, celebration and new life and hopes.
Although wit passage of time, the human nature has seen a sea of changes and human activities have thrown environmental challenges, the nature still has retained its sanctity and inventiveness. Being the king of the seasons, Spring season spreads love and happiness all around and gives a message to everyone not to gloom and always boom with inner joy.
Never worry, always move ahead with spirit unnerve
there is smooth road beyond the sharp curve
Sow the seeds of love and new hope
Truly the panacea for the miseries to cope
That will ferry you across the ocean
