Behind the Scenes of Lifeplus Photo Contest 2025
The Lifeplus Photo Contest 2025 was not just about celebrating creativity—it was also a journey of dedication, teamwork, and community spirit. For everyone who participated or followed along, we’d love to share how this contest unfolded from start to finish.
🌟 The Beginning
We opened the contest on 1st October, welcoming entries until 5th November (with an extended window until 10th November exclusively for our Club members). To encourage early participation, we offered a special early bird entry until 19th October, complete with discounted fees and e‑certificates. Later we decided to send hard copy of certificates to every participants.
Participants who submitted between 20th–31st October received not only e‑certificates but also hard copy certificates, mailed directly to them as a token of appreciation.
👩⚖️ The Judges
Our esteemed panel of judges came from Kolkata, Darjeeling, Mumbai, and Delhi. Each was a highly creative professional, and two of them were seasoned photographers. Their diverse perspectives ensured fairness and richness in evaluation.
📦 Certificates & Logistics
Sending hard copy certificates was a challenge. Bulk speed post was unexpectedly unavailable, but we refused to compromise on our promise. We partnered with Rocketshyp shipment agency, which works with reputed courier services. After careful consideration, we chose DTDC Surface, known for its strong ratings, even though it came at a higher cost.
While a few complaints did arise, we are already planning improvements for future contests. Certificates for entries submitted after 31st October will be dispatched this week, along with those for winners and judges.
🌐 Showcasing Creativity
Every entry was proudly displayed in our permanent online gallery: Colours of Life Gallery. This exhibition remains open for everyone to enjoy—a celebration of the vibrant creativity our participants brought to the theme “Colours of Life.”
🏆 The Selection Process
Originally, we planned to shortlist 10 photos for the final round. But the sheer quality of submissions inspired us to expand to 15 finalists. These were published in our magazine and shared with judges for rating.
To ensure impartiality, we removed names and locations, allowing judges to focus solely on the photographs. You can view the final 15 entries here: Final Round Gallery.
Judges rated each photo out of 10, keeping the theme in mind. Ratings were collected until midnight on 22nd November (Saturday).
