Lifeplus Magazine is honored to welcome Surendra Pradhan—an award-winning photographer and cultural documentarian—as a distinguished judge for the Lifeplus Photo Contest 2025.
With over 20 years of professional experience, Surendra Pradhan has carved a niche in nature, wildlife, landscape, and cultural photography. His work has earned prestigious accolades from the Government of West Bengal, UNESCO’s Darjeeling Himalayan Railways Photography Awards, and Better Photography magazine, among others.
As the official photographer for 1001things.org he continues to chronicle the scenic grandeur and cultural vibrancy of North Bengal and Sikkim. His work has graced coffee table books like Darjeeling Himalayan Railway and Explorea, and he has collaborated internationally with Little Earth Creative, Scotland, for the documentary Tea People.
Surendra’s visual narratives have been featured in leading regional publications such as Himalaya Darpan and Sikkim Express, as well as on local television and podcasts. His commitment to inspiring emerging photographers and preserving the timeless essence of Darjeeling makes him a perfect fit for our contest’s mission.
