Claudia Ludwig – Realism Artist From SA
Claudia Ludwig is self-taught realism artist from South Africa. Her creation touches different areas of life such as nature, figure and lately she has devoted her time and energy to wildlife paintings. Super realistic paintings of wild animals with vibrant colors are some of their most stunning creations.
She has been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis which is a rare medical condition, and constantly under treatment. Claudia’s Art motivates her to move forward with her life.
It’s surprising through Claudia never exhibited her wonderful creation. We at LifePlus Magazine is privileged to have a brief conversation with Claudia, tried to know her better and proud to showcase her Art.

LifePlus Magazine: Where are you from?
Claudia : Germany, Stuttgart. I moved to SA 23 years ago and I love this country!
LifePlus Magazine: What do you do for a living?
Claudia Ludwig: I am graphic & Web Designer but life has thrown me a curve ball in 2011. I was diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis and have been boarded since 2014. It has been art that has kept me going in the last years and I am more determined than ever to make it in the art world.
LifePlus Magazine : Since how long you are into painting?
Claudia Ludwig : I have been painting since I am 18.
LifePlus Magazine: What is your inspiration for painting?
Claudia Ludwig: It’s honestly making my father proud. He has always been my biggest fan, but over the last years he has given up on me and I just want to make him proud of me again.
LifePlus Magazine : Is painting your profession?
Claudia Ludwig: Its complicated but yes, at the moment I am pouring all the energy I have into painting.
LifePlus Magazine: Which style or form of ART reflects your art?
Claudia Ludwig: I hope I can say realism. It’s something I strive towards, there are so many incredible hyper realistic artists that have inspired me.
LifePlus Magazine: What is your achievement so far?
Claudia Ludwig: I have achieved to create some stunning wildlife pieces over the last 6 months. All from gleaning from great artists on Instagram. I think its been a great achievement to create these wildlife paintings without any experience in painting fur etc… I am proud of myself and thank the Lord that He gives me the energy to finish my paintings!
LifePlus Magazine: What is your future goal as a painter?
Claudia Ludwig: I want to be as famous and as wanted as Nic Sider! That would be awesome. To get commissioned by people from all over the world would be an absolute dream come true.
